Introduction of Activities and Organization
O-VILS. is a Wind Ensemble Entertainment team founded in 2021 by Yuina, the teamʼs general director and a graduate of the Kyoto Tachibana High School Wind Ensemble.
In an effort to promote wind music as a "spectator culture", O-VILS. launched a project called "O-VILS. Kyoto Culture" to make this new style of wind ensemble performance more accessible and relatable to a wider audience.
With a strong focus on performance quality and creative staging even with a small number of members, O-VILS. aims to become a role model for wind ensembles that can thrive even in the face of declining student populations.
Our vision is to create a society where every student, no matter their personality or background, can shine through participation in a school band.

What Inspired Our Work
At O-VILS., we aim to cultivate professional musicians, while through the O-VILS. Kyoto Culture project, we strive to realize sustainable wind ensemble entertainment that can continue to thrive over time.
Based on these goals, we deliver high-quality performances and shows with the purpose of providing audiences with an environment where anyone can easily experience wind ensemble music through free concerts and local community events.
Our activities are driven by the philosophy of “building a society that thrives through music.”
Acitivity Details
We aim to hold a total of four free concerts by renting halls in Kyoto City. Venues include the Higashi Kyoto Cultural Center, Kuretake Cultural Center, Kita Cultural Center, Ukyo Fureai Cultural Center, Nishi Cultural Center, and others.
During the concerts, we will conduct surveys to gather audience feedback. If there is interest, we plan to offer workshops in addition to the performance time, where participants can make handmade instruments or bring their own instruments to play together with us.
Through these concerts, we also hope to actively collaborate with local junior high school students, as well as schools that incorporate dance into their wind ensemble performances.
Furthermore, we will consider recruiting general participants for the free concerts and other initiatives to further enrich the program.

Significance of the Project and Future Developments
O-VILS. Kyoto Culture, composed mainly of alumni from the Kyoto Tachibana High School Wind Ensemble, will hold free wind ensemble concerts throughout Kyoto City that anyone can enjoy. By engaging local youth who utilize regional resources, we aim to captivate audiences with music and dance, providing entertainment that contributes to the promotion of cultural arts and gives back to the community. Our goal is to create opportunities for multigenerational interaction, from children to the elderly.
Starting with this project, O-VILS. Kyoto Culture will collaborate with public halls, commercial facilities, and tourist sites within Kyoto City to continuously offer free concerts, workshops, and educational support.
Additionally, through YouTube and social media, we plan to share the charm of Kyoto alongside our music with the world, evolving this cultural initiative into a project linked with the local economy and tourism.
Going forward, we will strengthen collaborations with local media, educational institutions, and companies to build a cyclical cultural development model that increases the number of young people who can grow and succeed within their local community. We also aim to establish a structure where companies commission such free concerts as official projects.
O-VILS. currently leverages income from fan clubs and social media activities, which serve as revenue sources to continue holding performances.
