Your donations help protect and develop Korean schools and students

The Mire Educational Foundation provides financial support to Korean schools and students as they learn Korean language and culture and build international programs.

Our foundation is sustained with some business income and donations from individuals who share our mission and vision in developing positive Korean identity through education. In order to expand our program, we need your support.

Particularly after 2010 when the government of Japan excluded Korean schools from the newly implemented “Tuition Waiver and Tuition Support Fund Program for High School Education” (so-called “Tuition Waiver Program”) for all high school students in Japan. 7 years have passed, and more than 5000 Korean students have graduated without enjoying the education subsidies.

This is a violation of rights to education. Although the U.N. Commission on Human Rights has accused Japanese government on multiple occasions of the severe human rights violation and urged it to extend the “Tuition Waiver Program” to Korean school students, Japanese government continues its discriminatory policy to this day.

Under these circumstances, it is more important than ever for our society to work collectively to protect all students’ rights to education.

We hope that you will join us in this important mission and make your donations today to support universal human rights for all!
