To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Room to Read, we are delighted to invite you to join us as a gesture of our heartfelt gratitude. While our arrangements will be modest, we sincerely hope to share a warm and memorable evening with you. Donations will be accepted through the registration page in advance or at the venue on the day of the event. Contributions are entirely optional, but we would be most grateful for your support in advancing literacy and girls’ education (gender equality) for children around the world.

Pushkar Shrestha │ Country Director, Room to Read Nepal

プシュカは、非営利・営利両分野で20年以上のリーダーシップ経験を持ち、教育、都市開発、保健、水・衛生など幅広い分野で活躍してきました。米国モンタナ州立大学で工学を学び、カトマンズ大学でMBAを取得。2006年にルーム・トゥ・リードに参画し、プログラム・ディレクターや国内ディレクターを経て現職に就任。ネパールにおける識字教育と女子教育を力強く推進しています。日本とのつながりも深く、2009年来日のほか、2021年のオンラインイベント登壇やビデオレターでの発信を通じて、日本の支援者と絆を育んできました
Pushkar has more than 20 years of leadership experience across both the nonprofit and private sectors, with a wide range of work in education, urban development, health, and water and sanitation. He studied engineering at Montana State University in the United States and earned his MBA from Kathmandu University. Since joining Room to Read in 2006, he has served as Program Director and Country Director before assuming his current role. He has been a driving force in advancing literacy and girls’ education in Nepal. Pushkar also has deep ties with Japan, having visited in 2009, and further strengthened connections with Japanese supporters through his participation in an online event in 2021 and his messages delivered via video.

Geetha Murali │ CEO, Room to Read

「子どもの教育が世界を変える」という信念のもと、国際教育支援団体ルーム・トゥ・リードを牽引。これまで29カ国で5,200万人以上の子どもたちに識字と教育の機会を届け、グローバルで1,600名のスタッフを率い、国際的に注目されている女性リーダー。2025年YPOグローバル・インパクト・アワード受賞。
Geetha leads Room to Read, a leading international education organization guided by the belief that World Change Starts with Educated Children®. Under her leadership, the organization has reached over 50 million children in 28 countries with literacy and gender equality programs. She oversees a global team of 1,600 staff and was recognized with the 2025 YPO Global Impact Award for her leadership in education and social impact.

松丸佳穂 │ルーム・トゥ・リード・ジャパン 事務局長
Kaho Matsumaru │ Development Associate Director, Room to Read

高校３年までルーマニア、ソビエト（現ロシア）、英国で過ごす。早稲田大学第一文学部を卒業後、リクルート入社。出版社を経て、2010 年 1 月にルーム・トゥ・リード初の日本人職員として、日本法人を立ち上げる。日本における資金調達、事務局の責任者。日本にいる職員は２名ながら、世界中の職員、理事、プロボノ企業、サポーターとともに、活動を行っている。
趣味は、旅、読書（主に漫画）、船舶、フィギュアスケート観戦、動物。認定NPO法人Call４理事、一般社団法人日本海洋アカデミー理事、GAKYUKAN特別講師、他。
Kaho spent her childhood through high school in Romania, the Soviet Union (now Russia), and the United Kingdom. After graduating from Waseda University, she joined Recruit Co., Ltd. Following her career in publishing, she became the first Japanese staff member of Room to Read in January 2010, establishing the Japan office. She currently leads fundraising and operations in Japan. Although there are only two staff members based in Japan, she works closely with colleagues, board members, pro bono partners, and supporters around the world. Her hobbies include traveling, reading (mainly manga), ships, watching figure skating, and animals. She also serves as a board member of the certified NPO Call4, a board member of the Japan Ocean Academy, and a special lecturer at GAKYUKAN, among other roles.

徳松愛 │ルーム・トゥ・リード・ジャパン ご寄付・渉外担当
Ai Tokumatsu │ Development Associate, Room to Read

静岡県出身（父は石垣島、母は大阪）。高校卒業後、ニートを経て渡米。英語力ゼロの状態から南オレゴン大学、ポートランド州立大学大学院を卒業。帰国後は日系ベンチャー企業にて4年半にわたり公益団体・非営利団体へのコンサルティング事業立ち上げに携わる。のち、遺児支援をおこなう（一財）あしなが育英会にてアフリカ事業立ち上げ、米ワシントンDC支部副代表、日本におけるアフリカ事業への寄付者連携・ファンドレイジングを経験し、2022年8月から現職。
准認定ファンドレイザー。
Born in Shizuoka Prefecture (father from Ishigaki Island, mother from Osaka). After graduating from high school, spent a period as a NEET before moving to the United States. Starting with zero English ability, completed a degree at Southern Oregon University and a graduate program at Portland State University. Upon returning to Japan, was involved for four and a half years in launching a consulting business for public-interest and nonprofit organizations at a Japanese venture company. Later, at the Ashinaga Foundation, engaged in launching its Africa programs, served as Deputy Representative of the Washington, D.C. office, and gained experience in donor engagement and fundraising for Africa-related projects in Japan. Has been in the current role since August 2022. Associate Certified Fundraiser.
