About our Children’s Cafeteria
Congrand is a non-profit organization that operates a children's cafeteria in the city of XX City. The first XX City Children's Cafeteria was held in April 2013 for children who do not have the habit of eating with their families at home, such as working parents or single-parent families. The number of children who participated in the cafeteria increased rapidly.
Now, eight years after the start of activities, the XX City Children's Cafeteria has become a place where more than 30 children gather every time.

Why is Children’s Cafeterias needed?
Children's cafeterias began in Japan in 2012.
In a short period of time, these activities spread throughout the country, and now more than 150 children's cafeterias throughout Japan.
Why is there such a great need for children's cafeterias?
One of the reasons is the issue of child poverty.
Although the percentage improved to 13.9% in 2015, approximately 2.8 million children are still living in poverty.
The problem of poverty among children in single-parent families is even more serious, with one out of two children living in poverty.
This is said to be the lowest level among developed countries, and there are many children who do not have enough food to eat and who eat alone almost every day.
A warm and friendly space for all children
My name is Taro Suzuki, the president of our association "Congrand.
As a student, I wanted to become a teacher so that I could watch over and support children as they grow up happily and happily, but I learned about the current situation of children when I was a student and founded the XX City Children's Cafeteria to solve their problems from outside the school.
Five years have passed since we started our activities, and now more than 30 children come to our cafeteria every time they visit. This place has become an indispensable place for children. We look forward to your continued warm support in order to preserve a place for children.

Your support will be used for ...
The XX City Children's Cafeteria is made possible by your support
Until now, all the food has been brought in from the local community, but with the increase in the number of children, it has become difficult to cover all the expenses.
We would also like to pay the transportation expenses of the students who come as volunteers so that we can continue our activities on an ongoing basis.
Your donation will be used mainly for the purchase of food and transportation for the volunteers.
With a donation of 3,000 yen from 10 people, we can run one children's cafeteria and 30 children can enjoy their time until the evening.
