〜はじめに・ご挨拶〜　Introduction ・Greetings

わたしたちは2009年に開校して今年13年目を迎えた福岡で唯一の小中一貫、全日制のシュタイナー学校です。

シュタイナー教育はドイツ発祥の100年以上続く教育で、今では世界各国に広がっています。

Our school is the only Waldorf school of full-day,  in Fukuoka, and we have been in operation for 13 years since 2009.

Waldorf education is originated in Germany and has been around for over 100 years.

福岡シュタイナー学園はオルタナティブスクールに分類されます。

※オルタナティブスクール・・・

現在の公教育とは異なる独自の教育理念・運営方針により運営されている学校の総称

Fukuoka Steiner Gakuen is classified as an alternative school.

*Alternative schools are not yet popular in Japan.

公教育とは異なる学びの特徴として、

・一般の教科書を使わず色彩豊かなクレヨンや色鉛筆を使って芸術的なアプローチで学んでいくこと

・テストや成績表で子どもたちを評価しないこと

・子どもの創造性が最大限に発揮されるよう、メディアやゲームに対して家庭でも配慮すること

などがあり、

The characteristics of learning that are different from public education are as follows

Children learn about some subjects by artistic approach to draw and to write by colorful crayons and colored pencils without general textbooks.

Children are not evaluated by tests or report cards.

We do not evaluate children based on tests or grades.

We also encourage children to be mindful of media and games at home so that they can maximize their creativity.

シュタイナー教育を受けた著名人には、

斎藤工さん（俳優/映画監督）

村上虹郎さん（俳優/母は歌手のUAさん）

などがいらっしゃいます。

シュタイナー教育は「自由への教育」とも言われ、

画一的な教育ではなく、子どもを中心にして成長段階に応じて「からだ」「こころ」「あたま」の順番でバランスの取れた「真に自由な人間」を育てること、

また子どものみならず、社会全体が真に豊かになることを目指しています。

Steiner education is also known as "education for freedom.

It is not a one-size-fits-all education, but rather a child-centered approach that aims to nurture a "truly free person" with a balanced "body," "mind," and "spirit" in accordance with the growth stage of the child, and to enrich not only the child but also society as a whole.

Our goal is not to provide a one-size-fits-all education, but rather to nurture "truly free people" who are balanced in body, mind, and spirit according to their stage of growth.
 

これまで、福岡市南区の長丘と長住の住宅街で3つの民家をお借りして保護者と教師で共同体となって運営してきました。

So far, we have rented three private houses in the residential areas of Nagaoka and Nagasumi in Minami Ward, Fukuoka City, and have operated them as a community with parents and teachers.

現在45名の子どもたちが学んでいますが、

”学びの場をひとつにしたい”という想いと、多様な学びの選択肢として福岡シュタイナー学園の教育への興味とニーズが高まってきている背景から、緑豊かな地に広い校舎を新しく建設し、昨年11月から広い新校舎へ移転、再出発したばかりです！

Currently, 45 children are studying at the school.

However, in response to the desire to "unify the place of learning" and the growing interest in and need for Fukuoka Steiner Gakuen as a diverse learning option, a new, spacious school building was constructed in a lush green area, and in November of last year, the school moved to a new, spacious building and made a fresh start! 

スクールバスを用意して、今学園に通っている子どもたち全員と、これから新しく入学する子どもたちが新校舎に安心して通学できるようにすること。

To provide a school bus so that all children who currently attend the school, as well as those who will be newly enrolled in the school, can safely commute to the new school building.

新校舎の安定した運営とオルタナティブスクールとして発展するための大きな原動力を持ちたい

We want to have a stable operation of the new school building and a great driving force to develop as an alternative school.

福岡シュタイナー学園は開校当初、1つの民家から始まりました。それから一年一年、とても嬉しい事に「シュタイナー教育で子どもを育てたい！」と思う保護者の方々が増えていき、新校舎に移転するまでは3つの校舎に分かれて活動していました。

When Fukuoka Steiner School first opened, it began in a single house. Over the years, we were very happy to see the number of parents who wanted to raise their children with Steiner education increase, and we were divided into three school buildings until we moved to a new building. “この３つの校舎をいつかひとつにできたらどんなにいいだろう“

"How nice it would be if we could one day combine these three school buildings into one."

そんな切なる想いが、教師にも保護者にもありました。

Such a sincere desire was felt by both teachers and parents.

さらに、福岡シュタイナー学園旧校舎には体育の授業を行うスペースがなかったため、これまで体育の授業は近くの素敵な公園をお借りしていました。

Furthermore, since there was no space for physical education classes at the old Fukuoka Steiner Gakuen school building, we had to borrow a nice park nearby for our physical education classes.

ただ、やはり公園はあくまでも公共の場。公園に遊びに来ている人たちの邪魔をしないように、授業を行う必要がありました。

公共の場だからこそ学べることもたくさんありますが、子ども達が氣兼ねなく走り回ったり、大きな声で友達を呼んでみたり、歌ったり、体育の授業だけでなく休憩時間にも過ごせるスペースがあったらどんなにいいだろう...

と、ずっと思っていました。

大きい子も小さい子も同じ校舎で学ぶ事により、勉強する場というだけではなく「上級生が下級生のお世話をし、下級生は上級生に憧れを持ちながら共に成長しあえる場」。そんな校舎を切望していたんです。

However, after all, the park is only a public place. We needed to conduct classes in a way that did not disturb the people who came to the park to play.

There are many things that children can learn because it is a public place, but how nice it would be if there was a space where children could run around without hesitation, call out loudly to their friends, sing, and spend time not only during physical education classes but also during breaks....

I have been thinking about this for a long time.

By having both big and small children study together in the same school building, it would not only be a place to study, but also a place where "upperclassmen can take care of lowerclassmen, and lowerclassmen can grow together while admiring upperclassmen. We were longing for such a school building.

やっと夢が叶ったけど・・・！！

Finally our dream came true, but...!

そんな学園のみんなの想いがひとつとなり、昨年の10月、新校舎が完成し、すべての子どもが一つの校舎で学べるようになりました！！

本当に嬉しくて嬉しくて、これから広がる未来に想いを馳せ、大人も子どもも喜びで胸がいっぱいになりました。

The thoughts of everyone at the school came together, and last October, a new school building was completed, allowing all children to study in one building!

Both adults and children were truly happy and filled with joy at the thought of the future that is about to unfold.

ただ、大きな心配事があることも、否めません。
However, there is no denying that there is a major concern.

福岡シュタイナー学園はオルタナティブスクールに分類されるため、

学園に通う子どもたちは地域の公立校に籍を置いた状態で、毎日学園に通っていても行政からの支援はありません。学園の運営は、すべて保護者の参加費と支援者の方々のご寄付でまかなわれています。

新校舎の運営維持と、学園が安定して継続していくためには、まだまだ外部の皆さまからのサポートが必要なのが現状です。

もちろん、足りないところに目を向ければキリがないのかもしれませんが、まず新校舎への移転で一番に氣がかりなのが、通学のこと。

Fukuoka Steiner Gakuen is classified as an alternative school.

Because Fukuoka Steiner Gakuen is classified as an alternative school, children attending the school are registered at a local public school and receive no support from the government even though they attend the school every day. The operation of the school is entirely funded by parent participation fees and donations from supporters.

In order to maintain the operation of the new school building and to ensure the stable continuation of the school, we still need more support from outside parties.
 

新校舎は福岡市外にあるため、子どもたちはこれまでのように徒歩では通えなくなりました。

さらに、新校舎のある地域は、緑豊かで子どもたちの成長にはとても良い環境ではあるものの、公共交通機関がないのです。

Since the new school building is located outside of Fukuoka City, children can no longer walk to the school as before.

Furthermore, although the area where the new school is located is rich in greenery and very conducive to children's growth, there is no public transportation.

移転が決まった当初は「保護者たちが車を出して乗り合わせをしよう」という案がありましたが、やはり現実的に考えた時にあまりにも保護者の負担が大きくなることがわかってきました。

また環境の観点からも、車を何台も走らせるよりもバス２台にまとめた方が良いのではないか？という方向性になっていき、

そして何より、これから学園に新しく入学＆転入してきてくれる仲間たちを安心して迎え入れることができるように、思い切ってスクールバスを走らせることを目標にしました。

When the relocation was first decided, there was a proposal to have the parents drive out to meet the new location, but we realized that this would be too much of a burden on the parents from a practical standpoint.

From an environmental standpoint as well, it was decided that it would be better to use two buses rather than several cars. This is the direction we are taking now.

Above all, we decided to run a school bus so that we can welcome newcomers to the school and their families with peace of mind.

学園のみんなで知恵を出し合い、3月まではなんとかレンタルで乗り切ろうということで、試運転しているところですが、できることなら4月からは学園専用のスクールバスをちゃんと走らせたい。

Everyone at the school has pooled their wisdom and we have managed to get by with renting a bus until March, and we are now doing a trial run, but if possible, we would like to run a proper school bus exclusively for the school from April.

思い切って学び場を大きくしたことでの経費はいくらでも考えられるのですが、まずは大切な子どもたちが校舎に継続的に安心して通えるように、送迎にかかる費用を優先的に集めたい...！と決意し、今回クラウドファウンディングをさせていただく運びとなりました。

We can think of any number of expenses that we can incur by boldly expanding the size of the learning center, but first of all, we want to prioritize raising funds for transportation costs so that our precious children can continue to attend the school building with peace of mind...! We have decided to raise funds through crowdfunding.

有り難くご支援いただいた資金の用途につきましては、送迎バスの車両費、ドライバーさんへの人件費、車両維持費、また来年度以降も安定して送迎を続けていくための送迎基金など、必要なところへ大切に使わせていただきたいと考えています。

The funds will be used to pay for the cost of the buses, personnel and vehicle maintenance costs for the drivers, and a fund to ensure that we can continue to provide stable transportation services in the next fiscal year and beyond.

新校舎の建設、移転については、教師、保護者、学園のみんなで知恵や意見を出し合い、これまで何度も何度も話し合いを重ねて、やっと実現することになりました。

「緑豊かな地で子どもたちに生き生きと成長してほしい。」大人たちはそんな想いで胸がいっぱいですが、新しい校舎での学園生活が始まった今も、ふと考えることがあります。

The construction and relocation of the new school building finally came to fruition after many, many discussions among teachers, parents, and the school, in which everyone shared their wisdom and opinions.

We want the children to grow up in a lush green environment. We adults are filled with such thoughts, but even now that school life has begun in the new school building, we still find ourselves thinking about it.

「これから本当にうまくいくかな」

「この決断はよかったのかな...」

 

"I wonder if things are really going to work out."

"I wonder if I made the right decision..."

でもそんな時、これまで一緒にやってきた学園みんなの絆を思い出すんです。

「これまでも知恵を出し合い、力を合わせてやってきたから大丈夫！！」

But at times like that, I remember the bond that has kept everyone at the school together up to this point.

"We have shared our wisdom and worked together, and we will be fine!"

学園が開校した2009年から色んな困難を乗り越えて、今があります。

もしかすると、このまま３つの校舎に分かれたまま続けていく道もあったかもしれない。

でも、そんなわたしたちの背中を押してくれたかのように、天が味方してくれて、あたたかく素晴らしい人や土地にご縁をいただき、念願の新しい校舎には、元氣な子どもたちの声が響いています。

Since the school opened in 2009, we have overcome many difficulties to get to where we are today.

Perhaps we could have continued as we were, with three separate school buildings.

However, as if the heavens were on our side, we have been blessed with warm and wonderful people and land, and the new school building we have longed for echoes with the voices of energetic children.

この場を必要としている子どもたち全員が、安心してこれからも校舎に通い続けられるようになるまで、

あと、もう一歩。

Until all the children who need this place can continue to attend the school building in peace.

One more step.

その一歩は、わたしたちだけの力ではきっとあまりにも大き過ぎますが、

ご縁ある皆さまからのお力添えが合わさったら、きっと高く高く羽ばたける！

The step forward is surely too big for us to take alone, but with the help of all of you who have a connection with us, we will be able to fly high!

But with the help of all of you, we will be able to fly higher and higher!

そう、夢見ています。

We dream of doing so.

◆代表メッセージ～福岡シュタイナー学園の保護者たちが目指す未来～

福岡シュタイナー学園において、大きな軸となっていることがあります。それは「子どもの成長にふさわしい学び」です。

みんな違って、みんないい。

あの子と一緒の色じゃなくていいんだ。

誰かと比べる必要はなく、自分は自分の色で良いんだ。

という感覚を身に着けて、自分自身も他の人も大切にできる人になってほしいと思っています。

まずは、福岡市内より2台のバス運行を行いますが、

この場を必要としている子どもたちや保護者の皆さんをあたたかく迎えられる場として、近い未来には那珂川市やその他の地域からも、子どもたちが楽しく通える学園に発展していきたい。

そして、たくさんの子ども達の虹の架け橋を目指しています。

今回いただいた有り難いご縁をきっかけに、今度とも学園をあたたかく見守っていただけたら嬉しいです。
