Our activities

There are over 122.6 million people who are forcibly displaced worldwide. Refugees from Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and other countries are fleeing to Japan as well. But only 190 people were recognized as refugees by the Japanese government in 2024 and allowed to stay in Japan. On the other hand, 8,269 people were denied by the government in the same year. It takes about three years on average to receive the results of an application for refugee status, and in the longest cases, nearly 10 years. During this time, public support is very limited. Some of them are in poverty soon after arriving in Japan, and some of them are even homeless.

This project will provide support to those who have difficulties in accessing basic needs such as food, clothing, medical care and shelter. In addition, we provide information on refugee applications and resources so that they will be protected and able to live safely in Japan. Donations will be used to provide these supports and to cover some of the costs of conducting these activities.
