被爆の記憶を未来世代へ―平和教育絵本『ピカドン！〜校長先生の被爆体験〜』を全国の小学校へ届けたい

父が勇気を出して語った最初で最後の証言を、多くの子どもたちに届けたいという思いで、この絵本を企画・編集しました。被爆の記憶を風化させず、未来世代へ受け継ぎ、子どもたちに平和について考えるきっかけを作りたいと考え、全国の公立小学校への寄贈を目標にして活動しています

個人の小さな活動ですが、皆さまの応援があれば、全国の子どもたちに「平和のバトン」を手渡すことができます。どうか温かいご支援をよろしくお願いいたします。

With the wish to share my father’s first and only testimony—spoken with great courage—I planned and edited this picture book.
I hope to keep the memory of the atomic bombing alive, pass it on to future generations, and give children an opportunity to think about peace.
Our goal is to donate this book to public elementary schools across Japan.

This is a small, personal initiative, but with your support, we can pass the baton of peace to children throughout the country.

活動の背景、社会課題について
(Background and Social Issues Addressed)

1945年8月9日午前11時2分、長崎に原子爆弾が投下されました。私の父・小川弘（当時15歳）は、長崎師範学校男子部の運動場で教練中に被爆し、全身に重傷を負いました。戦後は教育者として生涯を送りましたが、家族には一度も体験を語りませんでした。

しかし、長崎市立矢上小学校の校長として迎えた最後の8月9日、初めて全校生徒の前で被爆体験を語りました。その原稿をもとに制作したのが、平和教育絵本『ピカドン！〜校長先生の被爆体験〜』です。

戦後80年、被爆者が直接語れる機会は急速に失われています。被爆二世として、父の証言を次の世代に残し、全国の子どもたちに平和の尊さを伝えるために、このプロジェクトを立ち上げました。

At 11:02 a.m. on August 9, 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki.
My father, Hiroshi Ogawa, then a 15-year-old student at the Nagasaki Normal School Boys’ Division, was exposed to the blast while taking part in military drills on the school grounds and suffered severe injuries over his entire body.

After the war, he dedicated his life to education but never spoke to his family about his experience.
However, on his final August 9th as principal of Nagasaki Municipal Yagami Elementary School, he shared his atomic bombing experience with all the students for the first time.

The picture book “PIKADON! – The Principal’s Atomic Bomb Experience” was created based on the manuscript of that testimony.

Eighty years after the war, the opportunity for atomic bomb survivors to share their experiences firsthand is rapidly disappearing.
As a second-generation survivor, I launched this project to preserve my father’s testimony and to pass on to children across Japan the importance of peace.

• 資料提供・掲載許可：長崎原爆資料館、長崎平和推進協会 ほかより取得
• 学術連携：長崎大学 核兵器廃絶研究センター（RECNA）による関連動画の紹介協力を受け、掲載
• 後援決定：一般財団法人 長崎原爆被災者協議会（長崎被団協）
• 自治体連携：長崎県・広島県の教育委員会と連携を締結し、公立小学校を対象に寄贈予定

本書の特徴

1. 史実に基づく内容 　父の証言を核に、当時の長崎師範学校の状況を忠実に再現しました。
2. AI技術による挿絵 　写真資料を基にしたフォトリアルな描写で、臨場感を高めています。
3. 教育現場での活用 　長崎原爆の被害概要、師範学校男子部の被災状況、実際の原爆写真を巻末に収録。
4. 日英併記　国内外の平和教育に役立つ構成としました。

長崎では、原爆の日（8月9日）は登校日です。子どもたちは学校で原爆や戦争について学び、午前11時2分にはサイレンが鳴り響き、街全体で黙祷を捧げます。しかし、このような平和教育は全国一律ではなく、原爆の恐ろしさや被爆体験を知らないまま大人になっていく子どもたちも少なくありません。

「戦争とは何か」「平和とは何か」――。 父が子どもたちに投げかけた問いを、この絵本を通して全国に届けたいと願っています。

未来の平和を、あなたの力で。

 　　ともに「平和の花」を咲かせましょう。

その願いを込めて、子どもたちへ平和のバトンをつなぐ一歩を、どうか皆さまのお力で後押しください。

In Nagasaki, August 9—the day of the atomic bombing—is a school day.
Children learn about the atomic bomb and the war at school, and at 11:02 a.m., a siren sounds as the entire city observes a moment of silence.
However, such peace education is not practiced nationwide, and many children grow up without knowing the horrors of the atomic bombing or the experiences of its survivors.

“What is war?” “What is peace?”
These are the questions my father once asked his students.
Through this picture book, I hope to share those same questions with children across Japan.

Let us nurture peace for the future, together.

寄付金の使い道について
(Use of Donations)

• 皆さまのご支援は、梱包・送料・印刷費等を含む寄贈実施費用のみに充当します。
• 対象は受入合意済みの各市町村教育委員会管内の公立小学校に限定し、1校につき1冊寄贈します。
• 目標金額を超えた場合は他県への寄贈に充てさせていただきます。

All donations will be used solely to cover the costs of printing, packaging, and shipping for the book donations.
The recipients are limited to public elementary schools under the jurisdiction of municipal Boards of Education that have agreed to accept the books, with one copy donated per school.
If the fundraising goal is exceeded, additional funds will be used to expand the donations to other prefectures.

税制に関する注記
(Notes on Tax Treatment)

本プロジェクトは個人（主催者）による自主的な活動への資金支援です。日本の所得税・住民税における寄附金控除の対象外です。控除の対象となるのは、国・地方公共団体・認定NPO法人等への「特定寄附金」に限られます。領収書は会計上の受領証を発行しますが、税務上の「寄附金受領証明書」には該当しません。

This project is an independent initiative organized by an individual.
Therefore, contributions to this project are not eligible for income tax or resident tax deductions in Japan.
Tax-deductible donations are limited to “specified donations” made to national or local governments or certified non-profit organizations (NPOs).
A receipt will be issued for accounting purposes; however, it does not constitute an official “donation receipt” for tax deduction purposes.
