Pride House Tokyo is looking for Charity Runners for the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon 2026!

As a recipient of the Tokyo Marathon Foundation’s charity RUN with HEART (※1), Pride House Tokyo, a non-profit organization, is seeking donations and 15 charity runners for the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon 2026 on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

Your donations will be used for the operation of Pride House Tokyo Legacy – Japan’s first LGBTQ+ center operating year-round.

RUN with HEART is a Charity Programs run by the Tokyo Marathon Foundation. In order to further expand the idea of “Let’s Convert Your Love for Running into Someone’s Happiness,” it aims to be a familiar and feel free way to contribute to society and improve our lives through running events.

Additionally, Pride House Tokyo signed an agreement with the Tokyo Marathon Foundation in September 2019 to ensure that the event is run in a safe and secure manner for all participants – regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or gender expression, and to work together to accumulate operational knowledge in community-participation sporting events.

Based on this agreement, Pride House Tokyo will work with the Tokyo Marathon Foundation on various initiatives relating to the ”Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon” and ”Tokyo Marathon,” and work together to realize a more inclusive society through these events.

Additionally, starting from the Tokyo Marathon 2025, a non-binary category was added alongside the male and female gender options, similar to the other six Abbott World Marathon Majors (AbbottWMM) events. We look forward to Tokyo Marathon 2026 also being a race where – as many runners as possible can run as themselves.

Pride House Tokyo is a non-profit organization, operating Pride House Tokyo Legacy, an LGBTQ+ community center. We collaborate with other non-profits, as well as individuals and companies to create a more LGBTQ+ inclusive society.
