ルーム・トゥ・リードの革新的なモデルは、子どもの教育において最も重要な二つの時期に焦点を当てています。それは、識字能力を身につける初等教育と、女子教育のための中等教育です。私たちは、低所得国の学校で深く体系的な変革を行い、子どもたちの未来を切り拓く手助けをしています。
Room to Read’s innovative model focuses on the two most critical stages of a child’s education: primary school, where foundational literacy skills are developed, and secondary school, where girls receive the support they need to stay in school. We drive deep, systemic change in schools across low-income communities to help children create a brighter future.

We have earned top ratings for financial health and transparency. 86% of all donations are invested directly into programs in the communities we serve. Room to Read has earned the highest possible rating (4 stars) from Charity Navigator, an independent evaluator of nonprofits, for the year 2022.
We also received perfect scores in the areas of Leadership & Adaptability and Accountability & Finance. We’ve held this top rating for 17 consecutive years—an achievement rare among the 1.4 million nonprofits operating in the U.S.
3. Locally Rooted Approach │ 地域に根ざしたアプローチ
We partner with ministries of education and local communities to design and implement programs tailored to each country and region’s cultural context and specific needs. This localized approach ensures that outcomes are sustainable and effective.

4. Expanding Opportunities for Girls │ 少女たちの可能性を広げる
Our Girls’ Education (Gender Equality) Program provides not only academic support but also life skills education, helping girls build confidence and make informed choices. In recent years, we have also expanded gender equality education to include boys.
女子教育（ジェンダー平等）プログラムでは、学業支援だけでなくライフスキル教育も行い、少女たちが自信と選択肢を持てるよう支えています。近年では、男子に対してもジェンダー平等教育の提供を広げています。

ルーム・トゥ・リードは、お預かりした寄付を最大限効率的、効果的に活用させていただきます。同時に、寄付者の方々は子ども達の教育に投資する投資家であるという考えから、寄付の用途を指定していただくことができます。寄付の用途を指定される場合は、こちらのフォームから お知らせください。ご指定がない場合は、用途指定のない寄付としてお預かりし、最も必要な国・プログラムに活用させていただきます
Room to Read is committed to using your donation as efficiently and effectively as possible.
We also view our donors as investors in children's education. In line with this philosophy, you may choose to designate how your donation is used. If you would like to specify the use of your donation, please let us know by e-mail (japan@roomtoread.org)
If no preference is indicated, your contribution will be treated as an unrestricted donation and will be directed to the countries and programs where it is needed most.
